Queensland Motorways will be supporting the 2011 Brisbane Convoy for Kids on Saturday 29 October 2011.

A convoy of trucks and utes will travel from Larapinta at the western end of Logan Motorway, along the Logan and Gateway motorways north to the Redcliffe Showgrounds.

Queensland Motorways is raising awareness for the event by displaying messages of support on its roadside variable message signage on the Gateway and Logan motorways as the convoy takes its journey north. A donation of merchandise is also being provided for distribution to the children at the event.

The convoy will culminate in a day of entertainment and fundraising for local children with cancer and their families. Funds raised will go to the Camp Quality and TRUST charities.

Camp Quality is the children's family cancer charity that believes in bringing optimism and happiness to the lives of children and families affected by cancer through fun therapy.

TRUST provides aid to truck drivers and their families who are affected in some way from working in the transportation industry. TRUST typically provides ongoing assistance for members and their families during illness and injury.
